Covid-19 Update

Last updated 22 September 2021

ALERT LEVEL 3: AUCKLAND

Waste collection is an essential service. However, there will be some changes to the way we operate in order to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the number of team members collecting or processing different waste and recycling streams.

Note: for your council rates funded service, please visit your council website.

Commercial customers

We will automatically lift suspensions at Alert Level 3.

Waste collection services

Our waste collection services for households and businesses operate as normal at Alert Level 3. Please continue to present your bins as you have done in the past, however there may be some service delays. If your bin is not collected on your scheduled day, please continue to keep it accessible or on the kerbside.

If you are putting your bin out, make sure you put it somewhere that is easy for our drivers to access. Remember to maintain a minimum of two metres distance between you and our team.

FlexiBin®

We can continue removing FlexiBins with some additional safety requirements in place. We will only collect the bin if our team can maintain the 2m physical distancing rule.

Skips
Non-essential skip services can operate at Level 3 with appropriate physical distancing.

Transfer Stations:

Transfer stations are open to the public with strict physical distancing and a one-in-one-out policy. Masks must be worn at all times on our site. Please ensure to scan the contact tracing QR code and maintain 2m physical distance.
