COVID-19 (CoronaVirus)

Level 3 Update

Last update 20 April 2020

As announced today by the Government, from 11.59pm on Monday 27 April, New Zealand will move to COVID-19 Alert Level 3: Restrict.

Details of this Alert Level are available on the COVID-19 website here.

Waste collection is an essential service. However, some changes to the way we operate will remain in place in order to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the number of team members collecting or processing different waste and recycling streams.

Note: for your council rates funded service, please visit your council website.

General advice on our waste collection services

The advice on this page applies to our collections of various waste streams nationally, except if you live in Kerikeri click here.

If we are providing you with a service, please continue to present your bins as you have done in the past. However, understand that your service could be delayed. If your bin is not collected on your scheduled day, please continue to keep it accessible at your property, business or on the kerbside. If you have an on-property collection, make sure you check the additional note below.

For the ongoing safety of the community and our team, if you are putting your wheelie bin out, make sure you put it somewhere that is easy for our drivers to access.
