Rotorua  Transfer Station situated on the corner of Te Ngae Rd & Hamiora Place is a purpose built facility open to the public for  the disposal of general  waste , green garden waste and recycling.

Conveniently located the Transfer Station  provides a clean , tidy environment for people to drop off their waste indoors and  sheltered  from all weather conditions.

Also providing recycling location  to accept -  Cardboard / Paper / Aluminium and Steel cans / Glass bottles and Jars / Plastic Bottles and Containers marked with the 1-7 inside the Triangle.

Exclusions:

• Asbestos
• Dangerous goods such as; flammable liquids, flammable solids, poisons, pool chemicals and gas bottles
• Explosives and fireworks
• Agricultural residues or chemicals
• Scrap motor cars
• Animal by-products e.g. carcases, offal
• Medical waste of any nature
• Firearms
• Radioactive materials

*Children must be supervised by an adult at all times on site.

*NO HAZARDOUS WASTE ACCEPTED (Restricted waste list available from the Kiosk)
