This will be the last Auckland Regional Landfill email update for 2019.
Waste Management lodged a resource consent application for the landfill in May this year, followed by a private plan change application in July.
We are currently responding to Auckland Council’s questions and preparing additional information that has been requested on the resource consent application.
The private plan change application is progressing through a number of internal Council processes before being considered for public notification. Unlike the resource consent process, Council does not publish plan
change request documentation until this public notification stage.
We understand the two processes are most likely to reach public notification in the first half of 2020.
