Waste Management NZ Limited were proud to join 60 Managing Directors and Chief Executives from New Zealand’s leading companies at the Climate Leaders Coalition to tackle the issue of climate change.
The CEOs’ Climate Change Statement is the first step taken by the Climate Leaders Coalition in their drive for positive change.
By signing the CEO Climate Change Statement, Waste Management have committed to measuring and reporting our greenhouse gas emissions and to work with suppliers to reduce emissions, with the aim of helping to limited global warming to two degrees, as specified in the Paris Agreement.
This Statement reflects our ongoing focus on the sustainability of our company, and our drive to be a leader for our industry in this space.
Climate change is a big environmental issue facing New Zealand and the transition to a low emissions economy is an opportunity to improve New Zealand’s prosperity.
