Our team were thrilled to win the highly commended award in the Sustainable Business Network (SBN) Smarter Transport Award – Sponsored by WSP Opus.
The Smarter Transport Award recognised Waste Management for leading the move towards electric heavy vehicles in New Zealand, through the launch of our EV Innovation Hub – NZ’s first diesel to electric truck conversion workshop, and our wider commitment to assisting other NZ companies to further increase EV uptake in NZ.
This follows the recent addition of our sixth electric truck. We continue to convert trucks in our EV Innovation Hub, maintaining the largest EV truck fleet in Australasia.
In their 16th annual year, the SBN Awards are New Zealand’s preeminent sustainability awards, with a focus on celebrating transformative change in our country’s sustainability field.
